After using both of these for the past several weeks I have to say they both have their advantages and disadvantages. For me they both do a great job at the most important thing which is being a rowing machine. I personally like the foldable design of the MERACH 950 which makes it easier to stow in my closet. I also like working out with the instructors on my tablet with the MERACH. Both are made well. It is hard to recommend the WaterRower at double the price of the MERACH 950 though.
