'the fixtures' are races we do to prepare for The Boat Race, which is an annual race between Oxford and Cambridge. The last one happens 3 weeks before The Boat Race.

This year we raced a crew from the Dutch national team, Oxford Brookes, and Leander.

Oxford race similar crews... so we gotta do well

If you are confused:
- "The Boat Race" is an annual rowing race between Oxford and Cambridge which runs from Putney to Mortlake on the river Thames in London. Its typically broadcast on BBC
- Oxford Brookes aren't Oxford, they're a different university, very fast rowers
- Leander are based at Henley-on-Thames
