Director's Statement:
I think nostalgia is cyclical. By yearning for a place that never truly was, we leave the present, which becomes a new rose-colored past.

To Err explores that circle from the perspective of an android who has no past, and therefore falls in love with deceased persons' nostalgia.

This short is a love letter to religious, "think-y" sci-fi films – like THX-1138 and Blade Runner. My hope is that To Err makes you stop and think, particularly about where a longing for better times is taking you.

Moons of Madness was Funcom's second attempt at horror after The Park- one of the WORST horror games I've played. Having now played both, I can definitely say that The Park influenced Moons of Madness to create a rather... messy result. I also may have uncovered some interesting drama between the developer and publisher.

The 7 minute film opens with a Silicon Valley CEO-type delivering a product presentation to a live audience a la Steve Jobs. The presentation seems innocuous enough at first—the presenter seems to be unveiling some new drone technology—but takes a dark turn when he demonstrates how these autonomous drones can slaughter humans like cattle by delivering “a shaped explosive” to the skull.The audience eats it up, clapping and laughing along with the CEO as if they hadn’t witnessed anything more dangerous than the unveiling of the iPhone X. The CEO goes further, showing videos of the tiny killer drone in action. “Let’s watch what happens when the weapons make the decisions,” the CEO says, as the bot executes a number of people on the massive screen behind him. “Now trust me, these are all bad guys.” What follows is a deeply unsettling portrait of a dystopian world where these small weaponised drones use their onboard technologies—“cameras like you use for your social media apps, facial recognition like you have on your phones!”—to make autonomous decisions about who lives and who dies.

Welcome to Shinko, a unique and unexpected surf scene in Japan. A wave with unusual contrast- on one side, the raw, powerful energy of the ocean, and on the other, the industrial hum of machinery, both coexisting in this unexpected surf haven.

I’m always excited to explore different surf spots and immerse myself in the unique surf cultures during my travels. Surfing Japan is not all about navigating through rocks like a kamikaze pilot (like my last video at God's Crack), here is a look at a more traditional Japanese surf scene… a sci fi looking one at that!

This short comedy was inspired by a claim chickens were slaughtered towards the end of their natural lives. I tried to keep it fun rather than labouring points (like pigs being smart). People seem keen to let me know when they think I've failed, but clips from the film have had tens of millions of views across socials, and at least one person stopped eating meat after watching it (the biggest win). The reference to Chinese, like the reference to Japanese and Canadians, refers to inhabitants (and the Yulin Dog Meat Festival specifically) rather than the Han ethnic group.

COMMON ARGUMENTS AGAINST VEGANISM:

I didn't address these arguments in the film as I was unaware people used them to justify their support for animal suffering (while the aliens are surprised humans would still eat animals).

"Other animals eat animals!"
Other animals have no choice, lack moral agency, and act on instinct. Other animals routinely commit infanticide, while some eat their young. The logic of basing your behaviour on what other animals do is clearly flawed, or we should have no compunction in killing or eating babies with our genitalia out (which I believe is frowned upon). "We're meant to eat meat!"
We evolved as omnivores, but there is now no need to consume meat. That's just a fact. Please read https://www.scientificamerican.....com/article/does-hu and https://edition.cnn.com/2024/0....4/30/africa/morocco- which address the meat made us human myth. The scientific consensus is that a meat-free diet is the healthiest with research dating to the 1960s (Adventists). The Southern States also made similar arguments for maintaining slavery: that it's perfectly "natural" (Stephens). Slavery existed for millennia and the majority thought it fine so, clearly, neither a historical norm nor the majority view is necessarily the correct or moral one. Rather, your ethics are likely formed by cultural ethical relativism (Einstein referred to meat eaters as being imprisoned by delusion).

"Eating plants is no better!"
Humans have to eat things that live, but plants are not sentient like animals. They do not have brains, pain receptors or feelings. If you can't see the difference between a cow and cowslip please read this paper - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/p....mc/articles/PMC80522 - which debunks the research that has led to some meat eaters claiming plant sentience in a desperate attempt at deflection (while ignoring that more human-edible crops go to feeding livestock than humans). It is worth noting that trees bear fruit specifically to be eaten (no livestock wants us to eat them), while the argument that eating one life form is no worse than eating any other life form is to also argue people should be eating golden retrievers: calling vegans hypocrites for distinguishing between the plant and animal kingdoms while distinguishing between different orders of mammal is absurd. Indeed, this whole argument is so embarrassingly inane I'm surprised I have to address it.

"Animals are killed growing crops!"
Animals are killed harvesting crops though the data is poor (they count populations before and after harvesting so do not account for animals that simply leave when the combine harvester approaches). However, not only is killing animals not the purpose of arable farming (and tens of billions more animals are killed in animal agriculture each year) but more human-edible crops go to feeding livestock than (directly) to feeding humans, so meat eaters are still responsible for more of these deaths than vegans (even before the animals are slaughtered for their meat). If you're concerned about creatures being chopped up, veganism would be the best course.

This is a sci-fi documentary, following a crew of astronauts on board a cryo-sleep spaceship as it travels out into interstellar space; explaining the steps of putting a person into cryosleep, replicating animal hibernation.

How do the sleep pods keep the astronauts alive? What happens if the spaceship fails to awaken the passengers? And what about the families back home on Earth - are they also put into a multi-decade suspended animation?

There are 22 passengers on board the cryoship. It is a 20 year journey.

Personal inspiration in creating this video came from: Interstellar (the movie), The Expanse (TV show and books), and Star Trek Next Gen.

Other topics in the video include: An explanation of the interstellar sleep pod and how the chamber keeps the passengers alive, where is the cryo spaceship going on its interstellar journey carrying the 22 sleeping explorer astronauts, the scientific concept of torpor inducement that puts the astronauts into a cryo / hypersleep, and the types of animals on Earth that also go into hibernation.

It covers the alien invasion of earth, specifically the Nephilim as mentioned in the bible. Many have come forth and feel this is coming true in these troubling times.

The film was originally called Battleground Los Angeles, and also Nephilim Invasion, and Nephilim Kingdom before Walmart suggested we settle on Alien Armageddon. They did not want ANY mention of the Nephilim for fear of religious people getting annoyed. this film was on DVD and Blu Ray in Walmart for many years and sold hundreds of thousands of copies, so there is a strong underground following. Not a big budget film, this film was made in tough / lean times for Empire Motion Pictures, and its director.

This is a sci-fi documentary, looking at what it takes to build an underground city on Mars. The choice to go underground is for protection, from the growing storm radiation that rains down on the surface every day. And to further advance the Mars colonization efforts.

Where will the materials to build the city come from? How will the crater be covered to protect the inhabitants? And what will it feel like to live in this city, that is in a hole in the ground?

It is a dream of building an advanced Mars colony, and showing the science and future space technology needed to make it happen.

Personal inspiration in creating this video comes from: The Expanse TV show and books, and The Martian.

Other topics in the video include: the plan and different phases of construction, the robots building the city, structures that are on the surface versus below the surface, pressurizing a habitat on Mars, the soil and how to turn it in Martian concrete, the art of terraforming, and the different materials that can be extracted from the planet. This film was made in 2009 - 2010. It is an unofficial prequel to the film End Of Humanity / Humanity's End from 2007.

It covers the alien invasion of earth, specifically the Nephilim as mentioned in the bible. Many have come forth and feel this is coming true in these troubling times.

The film was originally called Battleground Los Angeles, and also Nephilim Invasion, and Nephilim Kingdom before Walmart suggested we settle on Alien Armageddon. They did not want ANY mention of the Nephilim for fear of religious people getting annoyed. this film was on DVD and Blu Ray in Walmart for many years and sold hundreds of thousands of copies, so there is a strong underground following. Not a big budget film, this film was made in tough / lean times for Empire Motion Pictures, and it's director.

Science fiction/Action adventure/Space. Created by Gene Roddenberry. Starring William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley (Kirk, Spock and Dr. McCoy) - Norway Productions and Desilu Productions produced the series from September 1966 to December 1967. Paramount Television produced the show from January 1968 to June 1969. Star Trek aired on NBC from September 8, 1966, to June 3, 1969. It was first broadcast on September 6, 1966, on Canada's CTV network. Star Trek's Nielsen ratings while on NBC were low, and the network cancelled it after three seasons and 79 episodes. Several years later, the series became a hit in broadcast syndication, remaining so throughout the 1970s, achieving cult classic status and a developing influence on popular culture. Star Trek eventually spawned a franchise, consisting of eight television series, 13 feature films, and numerous books, games, and toys, and is now widely considered one of the most popular and influential television series of all time.
