People love to say that pop music is getting worse or overly commercialized, but a recent study from the Queen Mary University of London has confirmed something else: pop music melodies have gotten simpler.
From 1950 to 2022, they found a clear decrease in qualities related to melodic complexity. So there you go, right? Pop music sucks now! Science said so!
